A unique oil in the world
Virgin prune kernel oil is made from Ente plum, a variety of the species Prunus Domestica, grown in the southern France for the production of Pruneaux d’Agen.
The plums of Ente are harvested at maturity between mid-August and mid-September:
- Their envelope has a characteristic color, purple with blue reflections.
- Their flesh, honey-colored, is so deliciously sweet and juicy and has excellent antioxidant properties.
Rich in vitamin E
The virgin plum oil consists of 700 ppm tocopherols, or 15 mg of vitamin E per 100 grams of oil, or 25% of the recommended dietary intakes per day for an adult with an average intake of 2000 kcal (these values may vary with age, sex and physical activity). Its wealth of vitamin E allows it to carry the regulatory functional claim relating to the protection of cell membranes.
Source of omega 9 and omega 6
Ideal for food, cosmetic or nutraceutical use, plum oil is composed of 75% oleic acid (omega 9) and 20% linoleic acid (omega 6). Omega 6 and 9 are very important for the body.
